East Brunswick Rescue Squad & Knights of Columbus team up for “special” blood drive

The East Brunswick Rescue Squad and the St. Bartholomew’s Knights of Columbus are teaming up to run a "special" blood drive with NJ Blood Services on Sunday, August 29th from 7:30am to 1:30pm.  The blood drive will be at the St. Bartholomew’s Church Parish Hall which is located at 470 Ryders Lane in East Brunswick. Both organizations typically run independent blood drives but because of the critical levels of our state’s blood supply,  they have teamed up to have an even more successful drive.  Donations are desperately needed right now as summer months make this situation even more dire.  Because of this, we are focusing on donors who have type “O” blood (people with type O blood are extremely valuable as donors right now because type O blood is also compatible with types A, B, and AB).  However, we need anyone who can give blood to come in and donate.

Every donor will be given a free tee shirt.  So that we can better anticipate the resources needed for this drive, donors are asked to make a reservation if possible by either calling John at 732-387-8388 or going directly online to the NJ Blood Services web site that has been specifically set up for this drive.  That site is located at:
